She made mistakes. She is the epitome of redemption. The turnaround Queen. Condemned for whatever it may have been, she served her time and took the hard lessons. Rightly or wrongly. But. She turned her life around. From her lowest point. She fought back. In a better way - for a better outcome. She is a warrior. A fighter. Focused. Dedicated. The heart of a lion. The skin of a Rhino. She is not for the weak. She is not for the faint hearted. She has taken the pain and turned it into petrol and off she goes..... She HAS Risen. Fly Queen. Fly. 

This piece was inspired by the American Queen of Cooking and Home making. Martha Stewart. Sure I had heard of her. But I didn't know her story. I love an interesting life story. And fuck me - isn't she incredible? What a business woman? Going to prison is one of my big fears. I think the concept of it is terrifying. The shame. The stigma. The terror. The loss of freedom. The concept and thought of it haunts me. Deeply. I think about it a lot. I watch a lotto documentaries about prison life. I watch a lot of documentaries on lots of things, i'm fascinated by people and experiences. Establishments. Institutions. Morality. I think Marthas story is a big fuck you to those who sit in judgement. The whisperer. The shunners. Those who sit in ivory towers. And I love that.
